FamilyResearch is a firm recognised since 1990 that specialises in researching persons from the past, whether in the context of a family history, with heraldic and/or art historical reasons, or in the context of inheritance issues. In such research, we are happy to draw on an international network of some 25 skilled genealogists.
Family History Flanders, Leuven region
Familiekunde Vlaanderen is an organisation recognised by the Flemish Government, active in the field of family history and family heritage in Flanders.
Familiekunde Vlaanderen has its operations locally anchored and spread over the five Flemish provinces and some 20 regional sections. Dozens of volunteers dedicate themselves to actively promoting family science, advising and assisting genealogists.
FV Region Leuven is one of those regional sections. It was founded in 1981 and has been a non-profit association since 2014, whose new statutes were approved on 8 February 2014.
It cooperates with the regions of Dilbeek, Diest and Aarschot in the provincial department FV-Province of Flemish Brabant. The website is one of the tools through which the Leuven division aims to support the above objectives.
The twenty-four KU Leuven Libraries manage top collections and inspiring learning spaces, and also offer comprehensive services for researchers, lecturers, students and external visitors.
